[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Captain Fantastic really is fantastic.

Sometimes bad relationships leave you with more than a bruised heart. My most recent mr. wrong helped me pick out a new turntable (mine had a bad belt) and got me back to Dodd’s for the first time in years. He was from out of town and was in heaven there. He came across an album he already had, Elton John’s Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy, and said I really had to have it for a mere 50¢. I had Yellow Brick Road and Honkey Cat but hadn’t ever heard this album, Elton’s ninth. And so what is great must be shared; If you’ve never heard this album you really must listen.

In addition to Captain Fantastic I also scored:

Neil Young—Harvest
Paul Simon—There Goes Rhymin’ Simon (with album art designed by the legendary Milton Glaser)
Rod Stewart—Every Picture Tells A Story
Richard (Dickey) Betts—Highway Call
Wings—Band On The Run (with mint liner notes)
Simon and Garfunkel—Bridge Over Troubled Water

Thank you Dodd’s!
