May 03 2011

I went to Founders last Thursday to hear Chicago’s Cameron McGill and What Army. There were a couple openers, Grand Rapids’ Fancy Bread and Philly’s Adam Arcuragi & The Lupine Chorale Society. Both bands were quite enjoyable but it was the first sound check by Fancy Bread that got my attention. Singer Tim Strother played a bar from Ryan Adams’ “English Girls Approximately”. I totally geeked out and hoped he’d actually play it during the set. They didn’t. But they did play all originals which I was quite impressed by. Since then I’ve been listening to their available songs on Reverb Nation wishing they played live more, I’d surely be a regular at their shows.

Fancy Bread tunes. Enjoy.
