Retro D’Luxe reunion at Pyramid Scheme
A bottle and a half of champagne and the biggest 80s music fan I know accompanied me last night to The Pyramid Scheme. I was thinking of requesting Whitney’s “Wanna Dance With Somebody” in advance on the facebook page but realized there was no way DJ Jef Leppard wouldn’t play it, video and all. Ah, I’ve missed you Retro D’Luxe. It was spectacular and I really hope the proposed once-a-month event continues. I used to go to the Drink back in the early days and though “it’s not the Drink” (multiple people said that when I asked what they thought of the new digs) it was certainly the best turnout I’ve seen since the golden days. So. Much. Fun.
The next planned event is scheduled for August 18 at Pyramid Scheme again. Sadly I can’t make it because it’s also the weekend of Hoxeyville Music Fest which I’m so very excited about.
